ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Caroline Duszynski’s designs incorporate influences ranging from Tokyo to L.A.—and everywhere in between, to create new identities. When designing, Duszynski aims to relentlessly innovate and engage customers to give an elevated sensibility to everything she does.

Currently, Duszynski has been designing for menswear brand, J. Press, having partnered alongside the creative director to debut its first NYFW show—reclaiming American prep. Prior, she designed for Karl Lagerfeld Paris, freelancing within their women’s outerwear category. Formerly, she was sole designer for Rowing Blazers in partnership with the co-founders and creative director. In addition, she designed for the brand’s additional labels, tennis brand, Arthur Ashe, and British knitwear brands, Warm & Wonderful and Gyles & George. She also had the privilege to spearhead exclusive collaborative capsules with global partners including Gucci, Café de Flore, Harry’s Bar, Grateful Dead, MLB, ‘47 Brand, U.S. Open, U.S. Rowing, Hunter Boots, Sperry, Babar the Elephant, Murray’s Toggery, The Explorers Club, LeSportsac, JAMS World, Luke Edward Hall, and U.S. retailer, Target. These eclectic collaborations became noteworthy industry disruptors.

Prior to this, she was the innovative and strategic designer responsible for the launch of Faherty Women’s Ready-to-Wear collection. Duszynski collaborated directly with the founders from the beginning years with its offerings of swim and resort-wear through its years of exponential growth as DTC, and expansion into wholesale (outerwear, soft and structured wovens--tops, bottoms, dresses and jumpsuits, cut-and-sew knits, and sweaters) helping to formulate the strong women’s brand DNA. During her tenure, Faherty expanded from three to 40+ retail stores with the launch of wholesale with Nordstrom, Shopbop, and Bloomingdale’s to name a few. With consistent growth, Faherty’s e-commerce business increased triple digits, leading to improved profitability.
